I'm still on air at KRFC 88.9FM! - Rational Alchemy
After a 4 year run and with a tear in my eye I decided to close to show on KRFC FM 88.9 Fort Collins. Below is my old web site text for the show. I had a blast with this show and meet some of the finest people. It was a dream come true though. Since those early days during the 60's when the coastline of Britian was surrounded by the Pirate Radio Stations. Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio North Sea, Radio Veronica, Radio England .... the list goes on and on.
After all the successful years in operation the B.B.C had to change it's tune. Radio Caroline was born because of a need to play music that was not considered "main stream" by the B.B.C. and as we know all music deserves it's time in the spotlight.

Welcome to the home page of "Your Mother Wouldn't Like it". This show is hosted by Nigel Aves and can be heard on KRFC - Fort Collins 88.9FM. The show covers European music from the 60's, 70's and 80's with the genre being firmly in the rock / psychedelic arena but not afraid to cross boundaries when th
e time is right. The emphasis of course is also European but there will be a heavy swing to the United Kingdom because frankly (if not georgely or annly) that's where a majority of the music was coming from in this time frame.

Show time is 9:00 PM (Mountain Standard Time (-7 hours Greenwich Mean Time)) Saturday evening. So it's really late at night here but that does mean we can travel to places that are not normally heard on the radio. I hope you enjoy the show and I hope you can kick back and say to yourself, "I've not heard that in years" or even better "What on earth was that?"
